This is the vegan breakfast smoothie I am now making each day, and you don't need a Vitamix to enjoy it -- any blender should do just fine with this one.
Vegan Fruit Smoothie Recipe:
1 banana
1 cup mixed frozen berries
1 cup water or fresh orange juice
1/2 to 1 scoop Now Tru-Food Vegan (optional)
This is a super easy vegan juicing recipe that results in a delicious smoothie packed with good-for-you nutrients. You, of course, don't have to include the scoop of the Now Tru-Food Vegan supplement, but I like to add it in order to up the nutritional value, since I am currently reworking my diet to deal with those pesky medical issues that have been keeping me from posting as often as I would like lately.
If you do want to try Now Tru-Food Vegan, I buy mine at Super Supplements (which is local to the Pacific Northwest), but you can also find it online and likely at your local natural or vegan grocer.
To make this recipe raw, stick with the banana and berries -- and only use freshly squeezed, unpasteurized orange juice or water.
