The guy and I were grocery shopping at Fred Meyer a couple of days ago and were super excited to find these surprise deals on organic beans, diced tomatoes and tomato sauce.
In case it is difficult to see in the photos, here is a list of the items we found on sale for $.69 each:

Note that not all of the Private Selection canned organic beans are on sale, but about half of them are, so it's still a great time to stock up. And if you use canned diced tomatoes for soups, stews, rice dishes or other cooking, this is also the perfect time to stock your pantry. It looks like organic deals will be going on through the month of August and the first week of September, so that gives you plenty of time to get stocked up.
I'm a fan of dry beans, but I always keep canned organic beans on hand for those days when I forget to soak my beans (which happens a lot) or when I need something I can throw together quickly. The same goes for canned diced tomatoes in our house: I always mean well and want to use fresh tomatoes, but I know myself well enough to always have a few cans in the pantry!
