Bambu Dru Bamboo Organic Socks Review

Bambu Dru Bamboo Organic Socks
Bambu Dru is a small business based in Southern California offering bamboo-blend, organic clothing, towels and fabrics. Some of their offerings include bamboo-blend tank tops, t-shirts, boxers, lounge pants, onesies, and organic dresses for little ones. I had the opportunity to review their ankle socks, which come in two colors (black and natural) and four sizes (small through x-large).

In the past, I have had bamboo socks that were super thin and, while they were comfy and soft, they wore out faster than I expected.

That is not at all the case with these Bambu Dru bamboo ankle socks. These are much thicker than the typical bamboo socks I see on the market and are more like the thickness you expect from cotton athletic socks. I love this, since it makes them even cozier, more comfortable for long days of walking, and they have held up really well to months of wearing and washing.
Bamboo Organic Socks
Speaking of washing, the bamboo blend (87% bamboo, 17% nylon, 3% spandex) makes these socks machine washable and dryer safe. Of course, it is always better to line dry your clothes, if you can, to make them last even longer and to lower your carbon footprint, but it is also nice to have the option of using a dryer, if needed.

The one thing to keep in mind is that they should not be bleached. But, interestingly, they can by dyed. This means that you can buy these bamboo socks in the natural color, and then dye them any color you choose. This is also a good thing to keep in the back of your mind in case you ever get a stain on them, since dyeing them could then extend their useful life.

Another thing that I am loving about these socks is that they have maintained their softness throughout several washings. While they are super comfy for all-day wear while working or running errands, the softness makes me really want to wear them around the house. I have found that they are a particular good pairing for curling up in a chair with a cup of tea and a good book.

Where to Buy Bambu Dru Bamboo Socks

You can purchase these Bambu Dru socks or any of their other offerings on their website. At the time of this writing, the ankle socks are $6.00 per pair, and the crew socks are $7.25 per pair. You might also get lucky and run into them tabling at local festivals but, if you don’t want to wait, definitely jump on the website to order a few pairs!

If you have any questions, you can call Bambu Dru at (714) 990-1210 or email them at bambudru@gmail.com.

For our friends at the FTC: I purchased one pair of bamboo socks from Bambu Dru and was given a second pair to aid in the review process. The review and all opinions are my own and are not influenced by whether I purchased the product or was given a product sample.
