Promo Code: SETS25 This code is good through December 31, so you have plenty of time to head over and check out their brush selection. If you will be making special dishes and cooking for extra folks this holiday season, you may be concerned about your grocery bill going up for the month. So this is just a quick post to remind you that you can cut down on expenses and save money on groceries by buying bulk, keeping an eye on store sales and using coupons!
Here are 10 quick tips for saving money on food during the holidays: 1. If you will be shopping at Whole Foods for vegan, organic or gluten-free fare, visit their website for printable coupons first. When you get to the store, stop at the entrance to grab their circular, which also has lots of coupons. 2. Visit CommonKindness.com before you go shopping to look for rare coupons on healthier finds. As a bonus, they will donate to a charity you choose every time you use one of their printable coupons. 3. Check my RedPlum printable coupons page for money-saving coupons on basic supplies and pantry essentials. 4. If you need inexpensive frozen foods, hit up the Dollar Tree. They almost always have frozen fruits and vegetables (sometimes they are even organic!), and they take manufacturer's coupons. 5. If you need inexpensive produce and are not necessarily looking for organic options, some 99 Cents Only Stores have pretty impressive produce sections. 6. Keep an eye on those store sales circulars that come in the mail or in your newspaper. Lots of stores have great sales on items commonly included in holiday meals. (Couple this with coupons to save even more.) 7. If you are on the hunt for money-saving online coupons, check out Coupons.com when planning your next shopping trip. They often have a surprising number of organic, vegetarian, gluten-free or vegan coupons. 8. It is not too late to order healthy foods online for big discounts! I don't think it has ever taken more than about three days to get my orders from Vitacost -- and they are always having big sales on healthy foods and personal care products. 9. Visit the Where to Find Vegan Coupons page for lots of tips on where you can find organic coupons, gluten-free coupons, vegetarian coupons and more! 10. If you have a Winco or other grocery store with a good bulk section, this is a great (and cheap) way to stock up on baking flours, rice, beans, spices, nuts, cereals, oats, pastas and more. My local Winco has gluten-free pasta, gluten-free flours, organic quinoa, organic rice and lots of other healthy options that can help you keep your family and friends well fed! One way to save money on Christmas gifts is to earn cash back while you are buying them!
If you plan on shopping online for organic Christmas gifts or vegan Hanukkah presents, you can earn cash or prizes while you are crossing names off the list. And it's not like you have to shop at some obscure online retailers -- you can shop at your fave money-saving sites, like eBay, Amazon, Overstock, Abe's Market and tons more! To start earning cash back or points that you can exchange for cash or prizes, check out one (or all) of the three sites below. They all offer free membership, and I use all three of them regularly - so I can personally tell you that I love them, and I have gotten some great rewards! Swagbucks - I use this one every day when I'm doing online research for articles or shopping online. I have gotten lots of Amazon and Starbucks gift cards from this one! MyPoints - I also use this one a lot, and I have earned more than $300 in gift cards to stores where I regularly shop. Ebates - This one is also awesome -- and you don't even have to collect points. You simply get a certain percentage of cash back based on what you spend. Do you know of other cash back or point-earning programs I should include here? Let me know in the comments below! I recently found out about this awesome little online program Abe's Market does where they offer a rotating variety of eco-friendly, vegan, organic and/or gluten-free foods and personal care products for just $2.00!
Their Try for $2 page seems to have at least a few new items every day. I started out just ordering a few things to try out -- since I love the idea of buying smaller versions or individual servings before shelling out a higher price for a full-size package that I might not like. However, it just hit me yesterday that these make great organic, eco, vegan stocking stuffers! For example, today they had organic lip balm and non-toxic nail polish, both of which I would be happy to find in my stocking. I've also seen chocolate candy bars, teas, lotion and lots of different snacks. To make this sweet deal even sweeter, shipping is free! If you are on the lookout for stocking stuffers -- or just want to cheaply try out some new products -- click the image above or below to go directly to the Abe's Market Try for $2 page! Hi there!

I have always loved Abe's Market, but now we have yet another reason to love them even more!
