1 cup orange juice (water would also be fine)
1 banana
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 scoop Now Tru-Food Vegan (optional)
Even without the Tru-Food Vegan supplement, this simple vegan fruit smoothie has more than the recommended daily value of vitamin C, and also has manganese, fiber, folate, iodine, potassium, magnesium, vitamin K and omega 3 fatty acids.
Now Tru-Food Vegan is about $35 at my local Super Supplements, so it’s not exactly cheap, but each scoop is packed with vitamins and minerals, and it’s easy to incorporate into any kind of smoothie. I’ve been using this supplement for a few months now, and I love it. And when you consider the cost of most vegan supplements, I think this is a pretty good price.
The strawberries came from the Dollar Tree, so those were super cheap.
Prefer raw vegan smoothies? Use water or fresh-squeezed, homemade orange juice and skip the vegan supplement.
